Thanks to a careful restoration, a fairytale palace from 1879 in Munich’s Isarvorstadt becomes a modern home, where the artistic spirit of the building is beautifully preserved.
The Thalkirchen Palais, located in Munich’s Isarvorstadt, was built in 1879 on a 2,600 m² plot. The surrounding district, nestled in the heart of the city, is renowned for its beautiful green spaces, elegant buildings, and proximity to prestigious galleries, theaters, and museums. The forward-looking restoration aimed to integrate state-of-the-art technology while preserving the building’s charming Neo-Renaissance architecture, beloved by actors and artists for generations. One modernization measure included the careful planning and expansion of the attic floor, along with the addition of modern roof terraces between the two parts of the building. Integrating the new attic apartments with loggias into the existing structure was a particular technical challenge of the project. Marc Eisenbach and the team at ME-made GmbH supported the client with their expertise and experience in obtaining approvals, project design, and visualization. Additionally, a comprehensive communication concept was developed and implemented for marketing and selling the apartments in the Thalkirchen Palais.
