The start-up Sherpany, offering exclusive management software solutions for an agile meeting culture, established its new representative and functional location in a listed historic building in Berlin-Moabit.
How does New Work work for start-ups? Agility and flexibility with the highest comfort—this summarizes the concept for the new New Work office. ME-made GmbH designed and built a true New Work office highlight for Sherpany’s employees.
The design and implementation of the 300-square-meter space considered all the needs and personal preferences of the employees. Flexible workspaces, which can also be used as conference tables or workshop islands, form the core element of the office floor. The open concept is complemented by three lockable phone booths, providing space for undisturbed work and phone or Zoom calls, serving as small workspace caves for focused tasks. Inside, the deep blue fabric lining, a bench, and a small table with perfect lighting and all necessary connections create a pleasant quietude for work. For confidential conversations, there is also a separate conference room and a comfortable lounge available. The team’s comfort during breaks and after work hours is also well catered for. A separate kitchen with a dining area and the lounge with comfortable seating provide retreat spaces and short breaks within the work environment.
The special charm of the completely renovated rooms lies in the exciting mix of the preserved patina of the old building structure and modern design elements. The lovingly preserved and showcased old brickwork and the niches and corners of the historic building give the rooms a unique flair. Uncompromisingly modern, the custom-fitted furniture made especially for Sherpany complements the overall impression. The oak veneer tables hide all cables, ensuring a tidy workspace. Oak, as the dominant wood, continues in the classic oak parquet flooring throughout the office space. Matte black steel and matte black ropes complement the modern design elements, including the dividing glass elements in front of the lounge and conference room. The highlight of the New Work space, the three separate phone booths, are also made of oak. A highly focused yet communicative atmosphere makes working at Sherpany in Berlin a true New Work experience.
