A new flagship store for Flyeralarm was developed in Berlin, focusing on customer needs and offering a coordinated customer journey in the physical space.
Nowadays, customers who choose to visit a store instead of shopping online expect more than just a sales floor displaying products. This applies to the online printing company Flyeralarm, which aims to impress customers with personal service at its flagship store on Dorotheenstraße in Berlin-Mitte.
The development process for the new Flyeralarm flagship store began with the question of how to combine the target audience’s needs with the core values and attributes of the Flyeralarm brand – quality, efficiency, speed, and an optimal price-performance ratio – in a physical space. What are customers looking for in the store? What is their goal at Flyeralarm? How can the brand and its entire product portfolio be made visible, understandable, and relevant to customers in a physical destination? The customer journey designed by ME-made under the leadership of Marc Eisenbach answers these questions and helps customers navigate the store through various stations.
A long counter serves as the service point to welcome customers. Graphic workstations in the workspaces allow them to create their own products. The well-lit workstations provide ample space to spread out and review materials to achieve the best possible individual results. If all workstations are occupied or the customer is waiting for their product to be printed, they can relax in the lounge and learn more while enjoying a beverage. The printing machine, the store’s centerpiece, is prominently placed. The central design element is “flying” sheets of paper, suspended as floating super signs from the ceiling. The prominently placed, folded “F” is part of the design language and complements the floating sheets perfectly. The overall design faithfully translates Flyeralarm’s corporate identity into the physical space. The result is a flagship store with the look and feel of Flyeralarm, making the product portfolio tangible and accessible while offering customers a unique journey through the store. Following the successful launch of this first flagship store in Berlin, Flyeralarm has opened a second store of this kind on Pettenkoferstraße in Munich.
